WATERPROOF SHAMPOO BAND PROMO 2026
After last years huge succes with creating a band promo during the last show of the season for Waterproof Shampoo. They asked me to tour with during their 2025 festival season. So we happily joined them on tour for their biggest shows at Zomerspektakel, Spijkenisse Festival, LenteLive, Lycurgus on Ameland and more.
After the season kickoff I start preparing a list of effects and ideas I have gathered over the last summer festival season and looked up some inspiration online.
This makes it easier in post-production when I you want to create certain effects. Now having that prepared I can make the right shots I need during the shows.
One of the ideas was to bring in an FPV drone again. We did this during Zomerspektakel to capture the biggest crowd of the season with over 10.000 attendees. Which resulted in some epic crowd and onstage footage of the band.
After shooting over 800 gigabytes of footage, it was time to jump in the edit. Having prepared what effects I want to create up front. Made the process much easier. I created the effects beforehand, while waiting on the final master audio.
When we finally had the audio we could start placing down shots form our selection on the edit where it matched the energy and vibe. Some tracks we could even sync from their live performances on the track. Then slowly we’re able to place the VFX shots in the edit, fine tune the edit with lots of animation, stabelizing, reframing to make it energetic and coheisive. One more final round of sound design to make the video feel more alive, just as if you’re there.
Besides video, we also deliverd on photography. During some shows we went around with both our photo and video camera to capture the show allround. This resulted in some beautiful pictures showing the energy of a Waterproof Shampoo performance of last season.
